A magyar nép elvesztette bizalmát a Nagy Imre kormány egy pár tagja iránt. A szovjet csapatok szüntessék be a harcot minél előbb és hagyják el Magyarországot. Budapest népe le akarja rázni magáról a rákosi-szellemet. Munkások, diákok és katonák! Fogjatok össze az elmult időszak rossz emlékei ellen. A Gerő-Rákosi vonal teljesen elvesztette a nép bizalmat, mert látták, hogy ők már többé nem uralják a helyzetet és behivták a szovjet csapatokat. A vért patakokban folyt és a nép keserüsége forradalmi viharrá változott.

Vajon Oroszország ujra sárba tiporja a magyar szabadságot, mint ahogy 1948-ban tette?

Magyarok, hazafiak az elmult napokban valami uj született, ami eddig nem létezett. Nem, ezerszer is nem, mondja Miskolc, Pécs, Győr és egész Borsod megye. Magyarok! A szabadság nem veszett el. Ma, Nagy Imréék a nép bizalma, de elég-e ez? Budapesten még mindigropognak a fegyverek. Kivánhatjuk,ehazt, hogy szovjet csapatok vegyék el szabadságharcosaink fegyverét? Magyarok nem akarják, hogy ez megtörténhessen. Az uj kormánynak nem szabad idegen fegyverekre támaszkodni. Inkább támaszkodjon a népre; nincs szükség idegen fegyverekre. Magyarok nem akarnak megölni magyarokat. A nép kimondta itéletét fegyverekkel. A szovjet csapatokat haza kell küldeni és nem fog több magyar vér folyni Budapesten. Nagy Imrének kell, hogy bátorsága legyen ahhoz, hogy megszabaduljon azoktól a politikusoktól, akik csak olyan fegyverekre tudnak támaszkodni, mely elnyomja a népet. Ne folyjon több magyar vér ebben az országban. A szovjet csapatok azonnal hagyják el az országot, szabadságot, rendet és függetlenséget ennek az országnak".

The Hungarian people have lost confidence in some men in Imre Nagy's government. Soviet troops should stop fighting as soon as possible and leave Hungary. The people of Budapest want to shake off the Rakosi spirit.

Workers, students, and soldiers, band together against the bad memories of recent times. The Gero-Rakosi line completely lost the people's confidence and, seeing that they were no longer the masters of the situation, they called in Soviet troops. Blood has run in rivers and the bitterness of the people turned into a revolutionary rage. Should Russia again fling Hungarian liberty in the mud as it did in 1848?

Hungarians, patriots, in the past few days something has been born which did not exist before. No, a thousand times no, say Miskolc, Pecs, Gyor and all Borsod County. Hungarians, freedom has not been lost. Today Imre Nagy has the people's confidence. But is this enough? Guns are still shooting in Budapest.
